Benjamin A. Wagner
Ben represents businesses and individuals against the Internal Revenue Service, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, and the Minnesota Department of Revenue in audits, administrative appeals, collection cases, court actions, seizures, and a variety of other cases.
Kathleen E. (Splett) Pfutzenreuter
Kathleen represents individuals and businesses in tax controversies involving the Internal Revenue Service, Minnesota Department of Revenue, and Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
Kala L. Heger
Kala is a Paralegal with a B.S. from Winona State University. As a Paralegal, Kala works closely with clients and attorneys collecting information, assisting in analyzing the situation, and responding to inquiries from the Internal Revenue Service and Minnesota Department of Revenue.
Laura D. Hockert
Laura is a Paralegal with an A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies from the Minnesota School of Business. As a Paralegal, Laura assists the firm’s attorneys by collecting and analyzing information from clients and by responding to state and federal tax agencies.
Nick Wagner
Nick is a Paralegal with a PhD in Classical & Near Eastern Studies from the University of Minnesota and a BA in Classics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. As a Paralegal, Nick works closely with clients and attorneys to collect and analyze information and assess their situation.
Candace L. Sietsema
Candace (Candi) is the firm’s Office Manager and has been working with the team for more than 15 years. In addition to all of her office responsibilities, Candi helps us communicate effectively with our clients regarding the status of their case.
Emily Hagen
Emily is Wagner Tax Law’s Senior Operations Manager. She ensures that the firm is efficient in its processes and client service. She has a B.A. in Communications from the University of St. Thomas, MN and brings nearly a decade of operations experience.
Hattie Stark
Hattie joined Wagner Tax Law in May 2023 as the firm’s Administrative Assistant. She handles all incoming correspondence, coordinates projects to ensure all deadlines are met, and maintains strong communication between the attorneys and paralegals to help ensure the firm’s clients have a positive experience.
