Alex focuses his practice on advising both businesses and individuals on how to navigate the complex world of state and local taxation. He has assisted clients with successfully completing multi-state nexus analysis and submitting voluntary disclosure agreements or other remediation efforts. He also has analyzed clients’ taxability determinations of products and services, while overseeing the implementation of sales tax automation efforts. When clients’ positions become subject to scrutiny, he has worked diligently to prepare and fortify an audit defense or administrative appeal.

Alex is a frequent speaker on various state and local tax topics such as recent developments in tax law, sales tax automation and technology, and the successful implementation of an audit defense.

Alex enjoys adventuring and traveling with his wife, 2 children, and a reluctant dog. Whether it’s camping in the woods, trying to chase down his kids while mountain biking, or tinkering with cars, when he is not working, you can usually find Alex outdoors.
